Billion ESG Volunteers Visited Beisin Elementary School to Continue to Spread The Seeds of Love for The Earth
Billion ESG volunteers visited Beisin Elementary School again to continue to promote the SDGs Multi-Stars Seed Project and instill environmental protection concepts in children. Beisin Elementary School is the first school to participate in this project, and it is also the alma mater of many Billion employees.
In today's event, we are honored to invite Mr. Sam Chen, an alumnus of Beisin Elementary School, to return to his alma mater to share the knowledge of electricity and renewable energy with the young students. Mr. Chen said, "Children's education cannot wait, and I am honored to participate in the Billion SDGs Multi-Stars Seed Project today to teach understanding electricity, leading children to learn green energy and contribute to the earth, which I think is a very meaningful thing. I also hope that children can integrate what they have learned today, give full play to the spirit of energy conservation and carbon reduction in the process of growing up, and realize the opportunities to love the earth, reduce greenhouse gases and increase the use of green energy."
Thanks all the volunteers who passionately supported and participated in this event to make this event a success! They shared their experiences from this event. Volunteer Zhan Zhao-Wen said, "As global warming and climate change worsen day by day, through the advocacy of Billion, we have also cooperated with the SDGs Multi-Stars Seed Projects to promote in various schools, so that our future generations can understand the importance of green energy. Through picture books, stories and presentations, the children learned about non-polluting energy sources (e.g. solar, wind, hydro, geothermal energy) and polluting energy sources that produce carbon dioxide (e.g. thermal power and natural gas-fired power). The children questioned and answered very enthusiastically in this event in Beisin Elementary School today, which made me feel full of joy and our advocacy has achieved its goal."
Billion Group is committed to promoting the importance of energy conservation, carbon reduction and green energy, and volunteers have also incorporated this concept into their activities. Volunteer Angel Chang said, "The teacher told the children in an easy-to-understand way what to do if there is a shortage of electricity. How can we use renewable energy to improve the living environment? I believe that through this way, children will pay more attention to energy conservation and environmental protection, and make a contribution to the earth. I hope that more colleagues will enthusiastically participate in this meaningful event in the future." Volunteer Ye Min-Xin said, "I am very happy to be part of this volunteer. Seeing the children's liveliness and enthusiasm will help them better understand how solar energy generates electricity and protects the planet."
This activity was divided into two stages, and after each stage, the school teachers reviewed the key points in the form of games and introduced some library books related to the activity. We hope that through this event, we can plant the seeds of love for the earth for the children and contribute to the sustainable development of the world!
